Michael B. “Mike” Fogel, age 74 of Grey Eagle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 20, 2024 at his home in Grey Eagle, Minnesota.
Per Mike’s request, no services will be held.
Michael Bruce Fogel was born August 10, 1950 in Fargo, North Dakota to Rueben and RoJean (Tall) Fogel. He graduated from Swanville High School in 1968. He was united in marriage to Viola Pohlmann on November 22, 1969 in Grey Eagle, Minnesota. Mike served in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged in 1972. He worked for many years at Select Comfort Sleep Number Bed.
In his younger years, Mike played high school football and ran track. Later in life, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching the Minnesota Vikings, and watching Alaskan homesteading on YouTube.
Survivors include his loving wife, Viola Fogel of Grey Eagle; children, Jim Fogel of Foley, John Fogel of Grey Eagle, and Jeff (Sarah) Fogel of Green Isle; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lin Anderson of Bemidji, Kathy Natvig of Swanville, and Nancy Hedin of Arden Hills; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David Hedin.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral and Cremation Services of Grey Eagle.
