Michael Edward Palbicki, Sr.

Michael Edward Palbicki, Sr., age 75 of Minneapolis, passed away March 1, 2018. 50 year member of Pipefitters Union Local 539. USMC veteran and past Commander of American Legion Laidlaw Post #1 and lifetime member of VFW and DAV.
Mike spent much time at the second home he built on Big Swan Lake in Grey Eagle. Over the many years a few of the hobbies he enjoyed were fishing, bird watching, attending auctions, and gardening. He also enjoyed the many friends he made over the years and was always ready to have a cup of coffee, conversation or play cards with his buddies.
Survived by wife of 53 years Elaine; sons Mike Jr. (Rebecca), Robert (Judy) and Douglas (Becca); grandchildren Ashley, Heidi, Cody, Kyle, Lincoln, Delainey and Griffin; siblings Pat, Richard, William and Gigi; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Wednesday March 7 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at First Memorial Waterston Chapel, 4343 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN (612) 825-4567. Funeral service Thursday March 8 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 10:00-11:00 at Church of the Incarnation, 3817 Pleasant Ave So, Minneapolis, MN. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
