On September 6th the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a missing person complaint in the Northeast portion of the county. Rebecca Ann Schneider, 46, of Royalton had left her daughter’s residence on foot. She suffers from mental illness including paranoia and depression. Rebecca is 5 ft 7 in, 140 lbs with blue eyes and brown curly shoulder length hair. She left the residence wearing a green camo colored sweatshirt, shorts, and white ankle socks with no shoes.
The Sheriff’s Office searched the area with officer personnel and K-9 during the evening hours on September 6th. The area was again searched on September 7th during daylight hours by Sheriff’s Office deputies and K-9. The MN State Patrol also supplied a helicopter with rescue personnel for an air search. The St. Stephen Fire Department assisted with searching wooded areas. Friends and relatives also assisted in searching by ATV and horseback.
