The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 3-10-2018 at approximately 5:47 p.m., a Morrison County Deputy was patrolling the city of Motley and observed a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted on a white Chevrolet Impala near the intersection of Highway 210 and Highway 64. The driver was identified as Lebartta Geionety, age 34, from Red Lake, MN. The deputy observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle suspected heroin was located.
Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen states that the deputy utilized his drug interdiction training and in this particular case, approximately 9 grams of heroin was seized from the vehicle.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Motley Police Department.
Lebartta Geionety is being held in the Morrison County Jail pending formal drug possession charges.
