Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen reports that on 03-14-2018 at approximately 7:44 am, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of 213th Street and 175th Avenue, located two miles east of Hwy 371, north of Little Falls. Deputies responded to the scene and determined that a GMC Sierra truck was driven by Nickolas Retka, age 24, from Little Falls, MN and a Saturn passenger car was driven by Christian Seidl, age 41, from Little Falls, MN.
Initial investigation appears that Seidl was traveling east on 213th Street and Retka was traveling south on 175th Avenue when a collision occurred at the intersection. Seidl was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol, Little Falls Fire Department, Morrison County Public Works, Gold Cross Ambulance and Life Link III.
Sheriff Larsen states that the State Patrol will be assisting the Sheriff’s Office with crash reconstruction. The case is under investigation.
