The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 04-05-2017 at approximately 3:14 a.m., their office received a report of a man that was struck by a train on the railroad tracks near Hwy 10 and 60th Ave, in Cushing Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe train was traveling north when it struck 35 year old, Kyle Schiltz of Sauk Centre, MN. Schiltz was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Randall Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of this accident.
