The Morrison County Sheriff ‘s Office reports that on 08-13-2017 at approximately 2:32 pm, their office received a report of a two vehicle accident on Hawthorn Rd at the entrance to the Morrison County Fairgrounds, in Belle Prairie Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 63 year old Shirley Matros of Royalton, MN was traveling south on Hawthorn Road in a 2000 Buick Regal. 16 year old Ashley Statema of Randall, MN was traveling north on Hawthorn Road in a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle driven by Statema attempted to make a left turn into the fairgrounds and struck the vehicle driven by Matros. There were no injuries.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Little Falls Police Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and the Little Falls Fire Department for extrication purposes.
