Morrison County Sheriff’s Office July 19, 2022

July 19, 2022 by Hometown News

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that their office has received three separate theft reports this year from the Knife River business gravel pit, located on 273rd Street, approximately 11 miles north of Little Falls, MN in Ripley Township.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, two of the most recent thefts were in July of this year with the most recent reported on 7-18-2022. On July 18th it was reported that a work trailer at the gravel pit was broken into and multiple tools were stolen. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between 5:00pm on Friday July 15th and 6:30am on Monday July 18th.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for their assistance if they have witnessed any suspicious activity in or near the gravel pit area.

Sheriff Larsen stated, “Our office relies heavily on tips from the public, so we can ensure that these people that are out victimizing others can be held accountable. Just like with any suspicious activity, try to get a description of the person and/or vehicle to include a license plate number, without putting yourself in harms way. Many investigations are solved with the communities’ help, which is greatly appreciated by our office.”

If you have information regarding these thefts, you are asked to call the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office at 320-632-9233.
