The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office states that they had probable cause to arrest 35-year-old Robert
Devereaux from Little Falls, MN for 2nd degree assault stemming from an incident that took place on 6-20-
2018 in Little Falls Township. On 6-21-2018 at approximately 3:53 pm Devereaux was seen by a Little
Falls Police Officer in northeast Little Falls driving a vehicle. When the officer attempted to stop
Devereaux he fled in the vehicle and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit went through the east side of Little
Falls and onto Mary Lane, just off Hawthorn Road, in Little Falls Township. Devereaux then left his
vehicle and ran into the woods. A perimeter was set up to continue the search with the help from the
Minnesota State Patrol Helicopter, Morrison County K-9 and SWAT Teams. The Sheriff’s Office was
able to notify residents in the immediate area through an Everbridge Mass Notification system letting them
know what was going on and what to expect.
Robert Devereaux was later located inside Wal-Mart in Little Falls, where he was taken into custody
without incident. He is being held in the Morrison County Jail pending formal charges for 2nd degree
assault and felony fleeing in a motor vehicle. During the incident there were no injuries to Devereaux, law
enforcement or any members of the public.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Little Falls Police Department, Pierz Police
Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota DNR, Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force
