The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 5-24-2020 at approximately 5:28 pm their office received a call regarding a 9-year-old male who was injured while in the water on Round Lake north of Randall, MN.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Kara Sjol of Brownsdale, MN, was driving a pontoon. Sjol was attempting to throw a rope to the child in the water but came up short. Sjol backed up the pontoon and the motor struck the child while he was in the water. The 9-year-old male was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by Lifelink III helicopter with serious injuries.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol, Randall Fire Department, Lifelink III and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
