Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 5-6-2026 at approximately 6:56 pm, their office received a report of a man trapped in a trench at a residence off 70th Avenue, approximately three miles east of Upsala, MN in Elmdale Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 64-year-old Andrew Langner of Holdingford, MN entered a trench to cut a waterline when a side wall collapsed, trapping him in the trench. Morrison County deputies along with Upsala Fire and Rescue were able to free Langner. He was transported to St. Cloud Hospital by North Air Care with unknown injuries.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Upsala Fire and Rescue and North Memorial Air Care.
