Norma C. Thull, age 78 of New Munich, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 5 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich with Rev. Daniel Walz officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Norma Catherine Thull was born March 12, 1938 in New Munich, Minnesota to Anthony and Clara (Sand) Thull. She graduated from Melrose High School in 1955 and worked in Minneapolis for a number of years. Norma then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and worked at General Electric as a clerk for over 25 years until her retirement. She lived in Milwaukee until moving back to New Munich in the spring of 2016. Norma enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching television.
Survivors include her children, Todd (Danielle) Smukowski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tara Smukowski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Francesca (Harrison) Paist of San Jose, California; mother, Clara Thull of New Munich; brothers and sisters, Norine (Francis) Olmscheid of St. Martin, Jean (Art) Hopfer of New Munich, Butch (Joyce) Thull of New Munich, Irene (Ron) Schmidt of Opole, Cheryl (Greg) Johnson of Bozeman, Montana, Dennis (Sheila) Thull of New Munich, and Gary Thull (Cheryl Ziemer) of New Munich.
Norma was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Thull; and sister, Alice Thull.
Serving as casket bearers were Butch Thull, Dennis Thull, Gary Thull, Travis Thull, David Solsrud, and Todd Smukowski. Cross bearer was Kim Olmscheid and scripture bearer was Irene Schmidt. Readers were Ron Schmidt and Irene Schmidt and serving as gift bearers were Norine Olmscheid, Jean Hopfer, and Cheryl Johnson.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Melrose.
