On July 4, 2021 at 6:29 pm the Stearns County Communications Center received a 911 call regarding a single vehicle rollover crash at the intersection of Co. Rd 9 and Narnia Lane in Avon Township. This is approximately one and a half miles south of the City of Avon on Co. Rd. 9.
Deputies arrived on scene and found a 2002 Ford Expedition in the ditch south of Narnia Lane. The driver, Cody Tibbetts, 22, of Sartell was traveling southbound on County Road 9 when a drink spilled in the center console of the Expedition. Tibbetts attempted to grab the drink and drifted off road to the right and into the ditch. Tibbetts attempted to regain control of the vehicle, over corrected causing the vehicle to roll.
A female passenger, Summer Pramann, 26, of Avon was transported by Mayo Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Tibbetts was treated and released at the scene. A third passenger in the Expedition was not injured.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Avon Police Department, Avon Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance.
