Paul Nicholas Keppers

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date due to the current Covid-19 conditions at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in rural Freeport, for Paul Nicholas Keppers, age 84 of Albany, who passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Pine Villa Centra Care Health in Melrose, MN. Inurnment was in the parish cemetery.
Paul was born on December 7, 1935 to Phillip and Lucy (Merkling) Keppers in Avon, Minnesota. He was a graduate of Tech High School in St. Cloud. Paul was united in marriage to Virginia (Ginger) M. Philipsek on October 10, 1960 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Anna. Together, they worked on the family farm in Krain Township. Paul was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in rural Freeport.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved creating things with wood and metal. He enjoyed eating sweet things, winning at card games and going dancing.
He is survived by his; children, Judy (Vince) Ikeogu, Jill (Rich) Wielenberg, Paula (Dean) Yacucha, Tom (Vickie) and Brad (Becky); a daughter-in-law Jane Keppers; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; his brother and sisters, Elmer Keppers, Ella Budde, and Ruth Kosel, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Ginger; his son Scott; brothers and sisters, Adam, Margaret, and Susan Keppers, Eva Schwinghammer, and Robert Keppers.
