Richard R. Richter

Memorial Service was held Monday, April 29 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albany for Richard R. Richter, 71 of Avon who passed away on Tuesday, April 23 at his home. Rev. Steven Olson officiated and burial was at the parish cemetery.
Richard was born on January 27, 1948 to Ervin and Frances (Scheunemann) Richter in Albany, MN. He was the third born of 8 children. Richard was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albany. He enjoyed fishing, mowing the lawn and spending time in his vegetable garden. Richard was a very social person who was always willing to help those in need. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his significant other, Mary Johnson of Avon; children, Melissha Richter of Avon, Bobby (JoAnn) Ehrlichman of Wabasso, Curt (Dawn) Richter of Long Prairie and Sarah (Vinh) Ngo of Kansas City; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Arvin (Ginelle) Richter of Albany, Dale (Judy) Richter of St. Joseph and Kenneth Richter of Avon; and sisters, Shirley Friebe of Little Falls, Beverly Rodenwald of Albany, Darlene (David) Dinndorf of Albany and Beneta Eggert of Albany.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Carrie and Ethan.
