Robert “Bob” Voronyak, born June 27, 1945, entered into his eternal resting place in Heaven on February 4, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Irene (Chuba) Voronyak, his sister Marlene, his brother Leon, two infant brothers, and his son Brandon.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel (1385 – 107th Ave. NE, Blaine, MN) Friday, April 17th at 4 PM with visitation one hour prior. A burial of ashes will take place at St Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery in Bowlus at a future date.
Bob is survived by sons, Jason (Melissa) Voronyak of Maple Grove, MN and Nathan (Carol) Voronyak of Spring Hill, TN, as well as his beloved grandchildren: Abigail, Gabriel, Alex, Avery, Hope, Valor and Lion, and his brother Daniel (Wendy) and family.
A lifelong resident of Minnesota, Bob spent his early years in Little Falls, MN working on the family farm and going to school. He was an elite track athlete and still holds several hurdling records at Upsala High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at St. Cloud State in 1969.
Bob served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969-1970. His career spanned seven decades in construction, including founding two companies, Voronyak Construction and Dutch Companies. As a General Contractor in over twenty states, he led countless building projects, including multi-family units, restaurants, schools, hockey rinks and skilled nursing facilities.
Bob was especially proud of building three custom homes for his family over the years. He was happiest enjoying a great meal with Jason and his family, catching a movie with Brandon, and cheering on Nathan throughout his high school and collegiate athletic careers. Bob was also an animal lover and would often share stories and pictures of his beloved dogs King, Snuffy, Mopsy, Taffy, Cody, Shadow and Smuckers.
In 2021, Bob moved to Tennessee where he became a staple on the sidelines of his grandchildren’s sports, arts, and school events and a loved and respected member of the Spring Hill sports community.
Bob was the definition of supportive in every love language, whether it was quality time, acts of service, an encouraging word, helping with home projects or a gentle hug. Regardless of the curves life threw at him, he responded with a “never give up” attitude, which rang true until his final breath.
He will be missed by many and his memory will serve as a shining example of resilience for all who knew him. To be notified of the Upsala burial plans, please email missyvoronyak@gmail.com or call or text 612-597-9476.
