Robert Louis “Bob” Ohmann, age 84 of Albany, died Thursday, April 23, 2015.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, April 13 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Rev. Cletus Connors, O.S. B. officiated with Rev. Bradley Jenniges, O.S.B. concelebrating. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
Bob was born July 9, 1930 in Albany, Minnesota to Nick and Lucy (Dinndorf) Ohmann. He attended Holy Family School and graduated from Albany High School. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force and then attended Minneapolis Business College. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Rohling in 1953 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Dorothy passed away on January 7, 1991. He later married Irene Aleshire in 1992 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Bob owned and operated Ohmann Electric for many years. He had a special love for the outdoors including hunting, fishing, cutting firewood, and gardening.
Bob was a member and past Post Commander of the Albany American Legion and served on the Albany City Planning Commission. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Pierz Council #3628.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Ohmann of Albany; children, Joan (Michael) Krause of Sauk Rapids, Linda (Bruce) Richter of Kasota, Roger (Ann) Ohmann of Albany, Ronald (Ami) Ohmann of Albany, and Roy Ohmann of Eagan; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Jean) Ohmann, Gene (Virginia) Ohmann, and Joe (Lottie) Ohmann all of Albany; and sister, Mary Hancock of Hinesville, GA.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dorothy; and brother, Donald.
