Roger H. Raeker, age 81 of Melrose, died Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the CentraCare-Melrose Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 22 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose with Deacon Ernie Kociemba officiating. Inurnment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Melrose.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Roger Harvey Raeker was born April 8, 1938 in Melrose, Minnesota to Anton and Clara (Hockert) Raeker. He worked as a carry out and delivery boy for Raeker’s Grocery for 15 years. Roger was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose. He had a deep love for God and his family. Roger was a huge fan of local sports and the Minnesota Twins.
Survivors include his sister, Mary Hance of Northfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters, John Raeker, Wilfred Raeker, Antonette O’Rourke, Rosamond Frederick, Gerard Raeker, Harvey Raeker, Annella Sauer, and Helen Roufs.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Melrose.
