Russell F. “Russie” Wolf of Albany, went to the angels on Monday, October 12, 2020. He died at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Melrose.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 20 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany with Rev. Julius Beckermann, O.S.B. officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Russ was born May 31, 1944 to Adam Edward Wolf and Veronica (Holthaus) Wolf. He was the last of 11 children (the baby). He married Joyce Beuning on December 31, 1966. The couple had three boys. Russ worked at Kraft in Melrose for over 30 years. He liked NHRA, Albany Huskie Football, T-bones, and black cherry malts. Russie enjoyed watching and playing with his grandkids.
Russie is survivied by his best friend for 62 years, Joyce Wolf; children, Jeff (Renee) Wolf and their children, Adam (Leah), Tyler, and Carter, Jody (Beth) Wolf and their children, Griffin, Garrett, Cale, Emma, and Clay, and Cory (Kitty) Wolf and their children, Alex (Rachael), Nathan, and Hannah; brothers and sisters, Ralph (Arlene), Robert (Bev), Ruth, Roger “Butch”, Renee “Sugar”, and Rodney (Barb); brother-in-law, Al Torberg; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosemary, Rita, Ramona “Monie”, and Richard “Hunk”; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Garry, Doug Otis, Alice Wolf, Gerald Esselman, and Joyce K. Wolf.
