Ruth A. Heinen

Ruth A. Heinen, age 76 of Sauk Centre, passed away after a heart related illness on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 19 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Inurnment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday October 20 at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Sauk Centre with a lunch to follow at the American Legion.
Ruth Ann Heinen was born May 8, 1942 in Villard, Minnesota to Walter and Ethel (Thompson) Hoffman. She graduated from Villard High School. She was united in marriage to Joseph Heinen on April 24, 1965 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. She was a hairstylist for a few years before starting her own business. She owned and operated Stylette Beauty Salon in Sauk Centre for many years. In her early years, she was an active member of the Sauk Centre Jaycees and enjoyed bowling and softball. Ruth was a former officer and current active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 67. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and was an avid reader of romance novels, and TV watcher of HSN, QVC, the Food Network Channel.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Jeff (Stacey) Heinen of Elko and Kevin Heinen of Sartell; son-in-law, Jason (Diane) Bartels of Corcoran; grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Isabelle, Tanner, and Liam; sister and brothers, Helen Springer of San Diego, California, John (Margo) Hoffman of Villard, and Paul Hoffman of Glenwood; and sister-in-law, Sue Hoffman of Villard.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Heinen; daughter, Kim Bartels; grandson, Andrew Bartels; brother, Bill Hoffman, and infant twin sisters.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services, Sauk Centre.
