Sandra K. Welle

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Sandra K. Welle, 68, Albany, will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Albany. Fr. Jason Welle, OFM will officiate and innichment will take place in the parish cemetery. Sandra passed away Monday morning surrounded by the love of her family at Mother of Mercy Senior Living in Albany. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home, Albany.
Sandra was born on July 18, 1948 to Ralph and Julia (Beckman) Walz in Crookston. She was raised with one sister, graduated from the local high school, and earned her Bachelor’s degree. In 1973, Sandra married John Welle at her home parish in Moorhead and they welcomed two sons to complete their family. Over the years she held many jobs, but she was a teacher at heart. Sandra loved literature and theater and sharing that love with others. She will be remembered for her love of others, her polite disposition, her intelligent mind, and her selfless nature. Sandra was kind to everyone and showed respect to all. She enjoyed golf with John and, after trying her hand at the sport, served as secretary for the Board of the Albany Golf Course. Sandra was a woman of deep faith who instilled a love of the Catholic faith in her family. She was an active member of Seven Dolors in Albany.
Sandra will be missed by John, her husband of 43 years; her sons Fr. Jason Welle, OFM, Rome, Italy; Scott Welle, Minneapolis; her sister Sharon Arzdorf, Blaine; and many other friends and family.
She is greeted in Heaven by her parents Ralph and Julia Walz.
