Sauk Centre Township: Crash with Injuries

June 2, 2026 by Hometown News

On May 30, 2026, at approximately 12:55 a.m., the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a crash detection notification near the address of 38712 County Road 186 in Sauk Centre Township.

Deputies arrived on the scene and located a black 2021 Chevrolet Silverado in the east ditch. Further investigation determined that Tanya Brabo, 41, of Sauk Centre, had been driving northbound on County Road 186 when she lost control and left the roadway. There were four other occupants inside the truck. Juan Hernandez-Godinez, 18, Melrose; Carina Hernandez-Godinez, 21, Sauk Centre; Jesenia Galicia, 18, Melrose; and Alondra Aguilar, 19, Sauk Centre. The driver and all occupants sustained a variety of non-life-threatening injuries. Two of the occupants were wearing restraints and three occupants were not wearing restraints. All occupants received medical treatment on scene or were transported to local hospitals for further medical care. Alcohol and speed are believed to be related factors in the crash.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sauk Centre Police Department, the Melrose Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Sauk Centre Fire Department, Sauk Centre Ambulance Service, and Melrose Ambulance Service.
