Stearns Electric Association hosts a brand-new event in District 6: Board and Brews. Members of Stearns Electric from District 6 are invited to join us at Albany Sportsmen’s Club, 30852 State Hwy 238, Albany, from 10-11 a.m. for coffee and conversation. The first 20 people present will receive a complimentary coffee cup. All members present will be entered into a door prize drawing.
Stearns Electric is a democratically controlled business, which means the Cooperative is governed by local people and elected by you, our member-consumers. One elected member from each of our nine districts serves on the Cooperative’s Board of Directors.
We have heard from our board members that they want to be more engaged with the members in their district. We have also heard from our members that they want more opportunities to meet their directors. So, we are trying something new this year!
Our Board and Brews events provide members with the opportunity to meet their directors, ask questions and mingle with others in their district. These events are designed to be informal, so there is no agenda.
There will be one event per district. District 6 includes the townships of Millwood, Krain, Oak, Albany, Avon and Collegeville in Stearns County.
All Co-op members are invited to join us. Coffee is provided. These events are all hosted at local businesses that are also members of Stearns Electric.
