Stephen “Sam” Bus’, age 66 of Alaska, formerly of Upsala and Albany, passed away October 30, 2015 in Fairbanks, Alaska at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Sam is being creamated at Chapel of Chimes in Fairbanks, AK. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
Sam was born to Joe and Mary (Pippen) Bus’ May 5, 1949 at Hamtramck, Michigan. He graduated from Catholic School in Fairbanks, AK. He went on to Aircraft/Mechanic School in Fairbanks for his A&E license. He was an ace carpenter, a jack of all trades. He was a welder in the 70s for the Alaska Oil Pipeline. He enjoyed jig saw puzzles and crossword puzzles, gardening, boating, sailing and beer (can’t forget that) and his dog, Lucy.
He is survived by 4 brothers all of Alaska, 3 sisters of Alaska, Washington and Oregon, and a special companion of 33 years, Bunny Johnson of Albany. He is in Heaven now with his beloved dog, Lucy.
