Coaches’ Comments: “Tren has a great attitude and is and even better teammate. He has continued to improve throughout the season both defensively and offensively. He has been one of the team’s best hitters over the last month. Tren was recently named Morrison County Record Boys’ Athlete of the Week. Keep up the hard work Tren!” – Assistant Coach Adam Gerads.

“Lexi Loven has been selected as the May Athlete of the Month for softball. Lexi has worked hard putting in many extra hours on her own in developing her pitching. She has gained a lot of confidence in herself and her teammates know they can depend on her as well. Offensively Lexi has significantly improved her batting. She has come through on several occasions with a big hit recently. As a result of hard work and determination, Lexi has significantly elevated her level of play from earlier this season. She is a good example of how you can improve with the right attitude, perseverance, and hard work. I’m proud of her!” – Coach Tom Bzdok.

“The May Boy and Girl Track Athletes of the Month are Paul Fruechte and Stephanie Koetter. Paul made the transition from distance runner at the start of the year to 400 runner and has done a nice job of it. He has also scored some points for us in the triple jump. We look forward to seeing what he can do with a full season as a sprinter next year.

Steph is our leading scorer in the field events placing regularly in the high jump an occasionally the long jump as well. She jumped 4’8” at the Prairie Conference track meet to score second place. We look forward to seeing if she can advance to sections in the high jump, as well as seeing what she can accomplish next year.” – Coach Pete Swisher.
