By Bob Pallansch, Sr. The Double ‘R’ held their 12th Annual Golf Tournament on Sunday, June 9th. Proceeds went to the Grey Eagle Fire Department, which amounted to over $4,000 this year. Matthew Abeler has been named the May Student of the Month for Upsala High School. Matthew is the son of Bill and Marie Abeler. Matthew participates in Basketball, Drama Club, Band and Choir. The Board of Directors of the Grey Eagle Senior Center are pictured here after having reached the $5,000 level with their aluminum can recycling project. In 6 1/2 years they have raised $5,011.38 while collecting 9,111 pounds of cans which equal approximately 300,600 cans. They are very appreciative of the community support for this project.
