Theresa F. Bieniek

The mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Theresa Frances Bieniek, age 86 of Holdingford, was held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Holdingford. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Theresa died peacefully at the St. Cloud Hospital on Monday, February 16, 2015.
Theresa was born, March 7, 1928 in Bowlus to Christian and Mary (Kupka) Klimek. She grew up and attended school in Bowlus. She married Alois R. Bieniek on May 10, 1949 in North Prairie, and the couple made their home and worked their farm near Holdingford for most of their life. Following the death of her husband, Theresa made her home in the town of Holdingford for the past 20 years. Theresa was a devoted member of St Hedwig’s Catholic Church, its choir, and Christian Mothers/Rosary Sodality. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Theresa enjoyed many hobbies, including: gardening, making baby quilts, sewing, cooking, decorating her home, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Theresa is survived by her children, Lois (Ernest) Schmit, Holdingford; Rene (Art, Jr.) Harlander, Holdingford; Eraine (Karen) Bieniek, Holdingford; Karen (Jeffrey) Larson, Avon; and Jane (Russell) Litchy, St. Joseph; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two on the way; a sister, Rose Opatz, Little Falls; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alois in 1994; and two grandchildren, Sandra Harlander and Mark Larson.
