On July 22, 2020 at 6:18 p.m., Stearns County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 2 and Interstate 94 in St. Joseph Township.
Lynda Hartwig, 52, of Albany, was driving a 2019 Ford Edge northbound on County Road 2. She stopped at the intersection to turn westbound onto the I-94 on ramp. While stopped yielding to traffic, Hartwig was rear-ended by Steven Williams, 27 of St. Joseph, who was driving a 1998 Subaru Impreza.
Ms. Hartwig and Mr. Williams both sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The St. Joseph Police Department assisted.
