The Special City Council meeting was called to order at Upsala City Hall by Mayor Rollie Johnson at 7:00 P.M.
The pledge of allegiance was said.
On roll call members present: Mayor Rollie Johnson, and Dennis Westrich, Brian Lange, Lana Bartells, and Joan Olson.
People present: Michelle Stevens, Clerk/Treasurer.
The Council reviewed the City’s charges for water usage. There was great concern about everyone’s water rates going up, however, the council strived to meet the City’s Water Budget.
Bartells moved to approve resolution #5-15-17-1 summarized as:
$36 Base Rate including 1,000 gallons
$11 per 1,000 gallons for the next 4,000 gallons
$16 per 1,000 gallons for the following 5,000 gallons
$20 per 1,000 gallons for anything over 10,000 gallons,,creating an estimated budget of $123,000.00, 2nd by Westrich. Motion carried unanimously.
Olson moved to adjourn at 8:10 p.m., 2nd by Lange. Motion carried unanimously.
