Ursula Lanners

Ursula Lanners, age 79 of Burtrum, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at her home in Burtrum, Minnesota.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Ron Dockendorf officiating. Inurnment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls at a later date.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Ursula Schoefer was born November 13, 1940 in Klein Krosse, Czechoslovakia to Franz and Anna (Habicht) Schoefer. She completed her education for photography in Germany. Ursula was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Lanners on October 30, 1962 in Kaiserslauten, West Germany. She moved to Minnesota in 1963 and lived in Bloomington where Ursula owned and operated Mini Custom Processing Photography. In 1972, the couple purchased Eagle Mountain Ski Area in Burtrum where Ursula was a ski instructor. She also was a supervisor for Grey Eagle Township for seven years and retired in 2006.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle, Mound Lake Association, and the Grey Eagle Township Board. Ursula enjoyed deer hunting, camping, bird watching, traveling, and loved spending time with her family enjoying wildlife.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Bob Lanners of Burtrum; children, Anita (Rick) Walker of Pillager and Rodney (Marilyn) Lanners of Burtrum; four grandchildren, Marie Walker, Ricky (Amy) Walker, Ashley Lanners, and Amy Lanners; six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Alison, Valerie, Bentlee, Noah, and Natalie; and sisters, Helga Kamb of Schwedelbach, Germany and Christa Ward of Oberammergau, Germany.
Ursula was preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Anna Schoefer.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Grey Eagle.
