Victoria A. Sobania

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Opole for Victoria A. Sobania, age 94, of Sartell and formerly of Opole who passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Country Manor Apartments in Sartell. Reverend Eugene Doyle officiated. Burial took place in the parish cemetery.
Victoria was born on December 18, 1922 in Holding Township to Frank and Frances (Puchalla) Marsolek. She married Clarence Sobania on October 26, 1943 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Prairie. They farmed together in Brockway Township until 1975. She also worked at Stearns Manufacturing for many years. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary.
Victoria loved to make beautiful quilts, wool rugs, sew, and garden.
She is survived by her sons, Everett (Rita) of St. Stephen, Raymond (Rozanne) of Royalton, and Lois (Ron Bierschbach) Sobania of Burtrum; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Victoria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence in 2001; sisters, Matilda, Magdaline, Gertrude, Florence, Julia; brothers, Leo, John, Florian, Louis, and Dominic.
