Virginia B. Super

Virginia Super, 89 year old resident of Flensburg died Sunday, July 30 with her loving family by her side A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 4 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg with Father Jimmy Joseph officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday and on Friday from 9:00 until the hour of the service at the church.
Virginia Bernadine Super was born January 29, 1928 in Ward Springs, Minnesota to the late Bernard and Alvina (Terwey) Kuhlmann. She attended country school as a young girl. Virginia was united in marriage to Linus James Super on August 25, 1952 in Ward Springs, MN. The couple made their home in Flensburg for many years. Throughout her life, Virginia worked various jobs: housekeeping, waitressing and homemaker. She was a fabulous cookie baker. She enjoyed gardening, canning, biking, walking and listening to polka music. Virginia was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Rosary Sodality. Her family and friends will remember her for her cookie baking and canned pickles. She was known to can 150 pickles and 150 tomato quarts each season.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Beth V. Super (Bill Seibert) of Wadena; son, James L. (Emma Garcia) Super of Melrose; brother, Jerome Kuhlmann of Little Sauk; sister-in-law, Joyce Leidenfrost of Little Falls; son-in-law, Mike Cecko of Little Falls; six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Linus; daughters, Barb Cecko and Beverly Super; sister, Marcelyn (Dwane) Ritter; sisters-in-law, Arlen (Jerome) Kuhlmann, Violet (Florian) Wotzka, Adrienne (Phillip) Wozniak; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Deloris) Super and Emanuel Super.
