Wayne M. Finney

Wayne M. Finney, age 63 of New Munich formerly of Anoka, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7 at Harvest Church in Freeport with Pastor Mitch Wall and Pastor Bob Bernard officiating.
Wayne Max Finney was born February 9, 1951 in St. Vincent, Minnesota to Max and Myrtle (Anderson) Finney. He graduated from Anoka High School. Wayne worked as a mechanic and bus driver. In 2007, he married Christine Remer and for the last ten years the couple has made their home in New Munich. Wayne was good with his hands and was very mechanical and artistic. He enjoyed woodworking and playing cards. Wayne was a member of Harvest Church in Freeport.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Christine Finney of New Munich; children, Lisa Turek of New Prague and Brent Finney of Chaska; grandchildren, Dylan Rice, Justin Turek, Rachel Turek, Alex Finney, and Tori Finney; brothers and sisters, David (Ann) Anderson of Strandquist, Sandra (Sherman) Johnson of Anoka, Beth (Rick) Remer of St. Michael, Mary (Scott) Wagner of St. Francis, Bryan (Tammy) Finney of St. Francis, Tracey Finney of Minneapolis, and Kristi (Tommy) McEachern of Monticello; step-children, Jared Finken of Freeport and Megan Finken of Freeport; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Freeport.
