WESTROM, ANDERSON TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETINGS
Sen. Torrey Westrom, R-Elbow Lake, and Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, will host a series of town hall meetings in a number of District 12B locations Thursday, June 12.
The meetings are open to the public and will take place in Glenwood, Sauk Centre and Melrose. Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss a wide variety of issues regarding the recently concluded legislative session, from the state budget to health care, taxes, the agriculture industry and more.
“These town hall meetings are good opportunities for us to discuss and wrap up the 2014 legislative session that recently adjourned and to listen to concerns and ideas from constituents,” Westrom said.
These meetings follow a recent town hall event Anderson and Westrom conducted in Alexandria.
“It always is nice to hear directly from the people we represent,” Anderson said. “We received some good feedback in Alexandria and I look forward to more of the same during this round of town hall meetings.”
June 12 town hall schedule:
Glenwood: 1 p.m., Pizza Ranch, 14 Minnesota Ave. E.
Sauk Centre: 2:45 p.m., Lynx National Golf Course clubhouse, 40204 Primrose Lane Melrose: 4 p.m., Arvig, 224 Main St. E.
