The Thumbnail: Grey Eagle area resident Keith Nohner competed in the radar run on his motorcycle… with some surprising results!
The 2016 Grey Eagle Minnesota Race on Trace was held February 20, 2016. This year’s event was scaled back due to weather as the oval racing was cancelled leaving the popular radar run and cross country race. The radar run saw snowmobiles from stock to racing machines, along with youngsters on 4 wheelers, motorcycles, and small snowmobiles.
In the video, we saw some of the fastest runs of the day! Ice conditions were solid enough for traffic, but many areas had 2-5 inches of water on top of the ice.
The ice on the lake was 15-20 inches thick.
