Wilma Scheid

Services celebrating the life of Wilma H. Scheid, age 83 of Albany, was held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 1 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albany. Burial was in the church cemetery. Wilma died unexpectedly Wednesday at her home in Albany.
Wilma was born June 23, 1933 in Collegeville to Adolf and Olive (Lemke) Cigelske. She grew up in the Avon area and married Robert “Bob” Scheid on October 30, 1954 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. The couple lived in Minneapolis, Duluth, Eveleth and returned to Albany in 1993. Wilma worked as a sales associate for J.C. Penney in Duluth and Hibbing before retiring. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Wilma is survived by her children, Rodney Scheid, Rice; Kevin Scheid, Albany; Dennis (Denise) Scheid, Albany; JoAnn Hendrickson, Albany; brother, LaVerne (LaVerne) Cigelske, Avon; sisters, Jill Sabrowsky, Albany; Erna Radtke, Freeport; Ardell (Roger) Koehn, Bowlus; sisters-in-law, Elaine Cigelske, Albany; Alice Cigelske, Albany; Janet Cigelske, Hewitt; Maggie Cigelske, St. Cloud; Linda Cigelske, Albany; grandchildren, Matt (Heather) Hendrickson, Rick Hendrickson, Bret (Steph Wiersgalla) Mandel, Christina (Eric) Steil, Katrina (Brandon Barlau) Hendrickson, Bill Scheid, Jessica Scheid, Zachariah Scheid, great-grandchildren, Joseph, Kacie, Owen, Bennet, Tanner and Lincoln.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Olive Cigelske, her husband Bob (on April 26, 2006, exactly 11 years to the day) her brothers and sisters; Junior Cigelske, Alvin Cigelske, Allen “Butch” Cigelske, Lester Cigelske, Virgil Cigelske, Delroy Cigelske, Valeria “Tutti” Christen, Darlene Cigelske and brothers and sisters-in-law; Donald (Delores) Scheid, Helen Cigelske, Jim Sabrowsky, Norman Radtke and Jerome “Jerry” Christen.
